Easy Garlic Butter Baked Pork Chops

These Easy Garlic Butter Baked Pork Chops look and taste Chef-prepared! They only take around 25 total minutes to prepare and cook! I have had more interest in this recipe than any I have cooked on our Wine and Dine Show to date. And that is saying something because I have cooked some good food if I may say so myself!

The reason I found this recipe and decided to cook it, is because of the Zoom Wine and Dine show that we do on Wednesdays. It is really cool, because we take turns cooking different things and pairing different wines from our Fine Wine Club with them. I have learned so much! And it’s FREE!! I love FREE! Anyway,it was my turn to cook an entree’,and I like to show fast,Easy , yet great tasting foods. This definitely fit the bill!. Very flavorful and juicy.Tastes like a fancy restaurant cooked them for you! And best of all, one pan, 25 minutes total time for Amazing Easy Garlic Butter Baked Pork Chops!

SO HERE IS THE RECIPE: EASY GARLIC BUTTER BAKED PORK CHOPS

  • Prep Time:5 minutes
  • cook time: 18 minutes
  • total time: 23-25 minutes ( depending on thickness)

Ingredients

  • 2 Medium /lrg Pork chops ( I like sirloin with small bone in THICK cut 1″ to 1 1/4″
  • salt and pepper to taste ( I also added a little garlic powder , but not much!)
  • 4 TBLSPoons melted butter( can use ghee also)
  • T tablespoon fresh thyme or teaspoon dried/grated thyme ( I use what I have on hand! )
  • 2 cloves minced garlic ( I sometimes add more if chops are big)
  • 1 Tablespoon extra Virgin Olive oil

Preheat oven to 375 or 400 if thicker chop

INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees ( 400 if cast iron and thick chops)
  • 2.Mix melted butter, thyme, and garlic in small bowl. Set aside.
  • 3.In oven safe skillet ( I prefer Cast Iron) heat the olive oil over medium heat. When skillet is really hot, add the pork chops . ( you can season with light salt and pepper if you want)
  • 4. Sear until golden ,About 2 to3 minutes per side.
  • 5. Pour garlic butter mixture over Pork Chops. Place the skillet in the oven, cook until chops reachinternal temp of 145 degrees, about 10-14 minutes. Time depends on thickness of the chops. The thicker the better for me! lol
  • 6. Remove from the oven.Using a spoon,pour some of the butter sauce from pan over the Chops before serving.
  • DO NOT OVER COOK!! THEY WILL COOK A LITTLE MORE AFTER TAKING OUT OF OVEN!
  • THE Biggest mistake people make cooking chops: OVERCOOKING!! DRY! BLECK!

I chose Roasted Brussel sprouts&onions with EVOO, salt and pepper as my side and paired it with the Amazing Discoveries 2018 Pinot Noir. It was so good that I was making nom noises ! LOL!
